MRI is a safe, non-invasive and painless imaging service that uses a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the body’s internal structures. It is commonly used to assess the brain, spine, joints, muscles, organs, blood vessels and other soft tissues. Unlike X-rays, MRI does not use ionising radiation. The procedure can take between 20 and 60 minutes, depending on the area being examined. In some cases, specific preparation or a contrast injection may be required. Our experienced imaging team will explain each step, help you feel comfortable and ensure the process is as smooth and reassuring as possible.

Our experienced imaging team will guide you through every stage of your MRI, explain what to expect and help you remain comfortable throughout the scan. We understand that the MRI environment can sometimes feel unfamiliar or enclosed, so we take the time to answer your questions and support you before and during the procedure. With a patient-focused approach and modern imaging technology, we aim to make your appointment efficient, comfortable and reassuring from arrival through to completion.
